A site in Hopkins Co. KY that had been mined
for coal was left barren and had a soil pH of
2.5. NVS was applied in the fall of 1988. The
area was seeded with a normal reclamation mix and
grass germinated quickly. By the following
Spring, a thick stand was established and deer
and turkey tracks were seen in the area. The bond
was released.
